Sister Lucia’s Shocking Vision of the Mass (Holy Thursday)
On June 13, 1929, Sister Lucia of Fatima received a mystical vision that revealed the true depth of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. As she knelt alone in adoration, the chapel was filled with supernatural light: the Cross, the Precious Blood, the Eucharist, and Our Lady of Fatima appeared above the altar in a moment of profound spiritual power.
This Holy Thursday, we reflect on that vision—and what it unveils about the Mass, the Eucharist, and how heaven comes to us at every altar. The Catholic Church teaches that the Mass is Calvary made present, and Sister Lucia’s experience confirms this in a breathtaking way.
Whether you've followed us through Lent or are just joining, this reflection invites you to see the Eucharist with new eyes—and to welcome Jesus with renewed reverence.

What if the veil between heaven and earth is thinner than we think sister Lucia of Fatima saw it in a vision the cross the precious blood the light of heaven right there on the altar the church teaches that the mass is Calvary made present and St Teresa of Avila says it plainly Jesus isn't far away he's here now the same love that held him to the cross meets you at the
Altar this is how heaven comes near welcome back today is Holy Thursday and today is the last reflection with the two of us yeah so we've I think we were over 30 videos now in Lent where we've did meditations of hell purgatory now heaven our last one thank you for being here a couple things before we get into an incredible vision from Sister Lucia uh firstly tomorrow Father Cristino will be with us and then you might be wondering well what's after this Lenten series that you've been going through well we are consistently going to come to you every Wednesday and sometimes more often depending on what's going on in our lives so you can expect that uh you can also expect us to do more series in the future for sure our next long one's going to be Advent but uh there might be something before that actually I'm almost certain there's going to be something before that that's coming and um anything else nope well I want to say like have a great Easter but I don't know if we're allowed to say that yet we can say say what you want okay well I just am really praying that you all have a wonderful beautiful Easter um as we approach Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves so we've been offering meditations about heaven mystics who have seen heaven or reflections from St Anselm who's got insights into heaven now today is slightly different it's about how heaven comes to us on June 13th 1929 Sister Lucia of Fatima was given a vision of the mass in her memoirs she writes "Being alone one night I knelt near the rails in the middle of the chapel and prostrate I prayed the prayers of the angel feeling tired I then stood up and continued to say the prayers with my arms in the form of a cross the only light was that of the sanctuary lamp suddenly the whole chapel was illumined by supernatural light and above the altar appeared a cross of light reaching to the ceiling in a brighter light at the upper part of the cross could be seen the face of a man and his body as far as the waist upon his breast was dove of light nailed to the cross was the body of another man a little below the waist I could see a chalice and a large host suspended in the air onto which drops of blood were falling from the face of Jesus crucified and from the wound in his side these drops ran down onto the host and fell into the chalice beneath the right arm of the cross was our lady and in her hand was her immaculate heart it was Our Lady of Fatima with her immaculate heart in her left hand without sword or roses but with a crown of thorns and flames under the left arm of the cross large letters as if of crystalclear water which ran down upon the altar formed these words grace and mercy what sister Lucia saw is in a mysterious way the holy sacrifice of the mass jesus offering himself to God the Father the church teaches that the sacrifice of the cross and the holy sacrifice of the mass are the same sacrifice however the sacrifice of the holy mass is presented to us in an an unbloodied manner but the totality of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is made present to us in the holy sacrifice of the mass so in other words Good Friday is made present to us every time we are at the holy sacrifice of the mass not only that but the power of his resurrection is made present to us at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass i'd like to draw your attention now to that sacrifice of Good Friday because it's directly connected to Holy Thursday i want you to see Jesus on the cross people down below are pointing up at him saying "If you are who you say you are save yourself." Here's a question could not Jesus save himself i mean he did save others didn't he i mean think about Lazarus going back a little while jesus went up to the tomb of Lazarus who was dead for 3 or 4 days and Jesus tells them to roll away the stone and they're like "But he's it's going to stink he's dead." They know but Jesus insists they roll the stone away jesus goes up to the tomb and says three words lazarus come out and with three words he raises this man who's been dead for 4 days now with this in mind I can see Jesus on the cross he's dying he's gasping for breath people down below saying "If you are who you say you are save yourself." Could not Jesus say another three words nails come out what's easier to raise somebody from the dead or to tell nails to move when you look at the cross you have to conclude it's not nails holding Jesus there but the power of his love for you this is the love that was shown to us on Good Friday and this is the love that is made present to us on Holy Thursday the sacrifice of Calvary made present through the institution of the Eucharist in other words the love that held Jesus on the cross on Good Friday is made present to us by means of Holy Thursday St Teresa of Avila says "Receiving communion is not like picturing with the imagination as when we reflect upon the Lord on the cross or in other episodes of the passion when we picture within ourselves how things happened to him in the past in communion the event is happening now and it is entirely true there's no reason to go looking for him in some other place further away now then if when he went about in the world the mere touch of his robes cured the sick why doubt if we have faith that miracles will be worked while he is within us and that he will give what we ask of him since he is in our house his majesty is not accustomed to paying poorly for his lodging if the hospitality is good do you want to say anything i just think that's really a beautiful insight you know like if we treat the Lord and prepare ourselves to receive him how much more is he willing to be a wonderful guest within us he's not accustomed to paying poorly for his lodging if the hospitality is good so the question we can ask oursel today on Holy Thursday is what kind of hospitality are we going to give Jesus today we remember when Jesus institutes the eukarist the fullness of the sacrifice of Calvary is going to be made present to us and we will go forward to receive Jesus Christ's body blood soul and and divinity are we preparing our hearts to receive him you know we've talked a lot over these last 30 videos about the hell and purgatory and now heaven and all of us all of these meditations have been geared towards preparing our hearts to receive Jesus now we've been thinking more about heaven but today heaven comes to us what a beautiful day it is where Jesus gives his whole self withholds nothing how many miracles Jesus did in the gospels where people would just touch the hem i remember the woman just touched the hem of his garment and she was healed we don't touch just the hem but the one who was wearing the hem and the garment the one who hung on the cross who died and then who rose from the dead the one whose body could not be held by a grave is the one we receive in the Eucharist and it was all done out of love for you you've likely heard this sentence if you were the only person in the entire world Jesus would have still given his life for you well here's another consideration if you were the only person in the entire world Jesus would have still given the Eucharist for you because he loves you and he wants to dwell within you so give him generous hospitality friends thanks for watching share below what stood out to you and why and Father Cristino and I will see you tomorrow let's end with a prayer oh my Jesus oh highest good I repent of having so lightly esteemed your grace that I have barted it away for mere nothing when will it be oh Lord that I shall see you face to face and shall embrace you without the fear of ever having to lose you aid me with your grace this I hope for through your merits more and more increase in me your love and the desire to please you amen
